Friends I met during the Taiwan tour

Friday, December 30th, 2005

Ok, since I said this blog is dedicated for my friends, I’ll list out them one by one what I think about them. It might be a boring post so… read at your own interest.
Warning: These following are my personal opinion, it has nothing to do with anyone else but myself. So if you wanna shoot or flame, aim me.  :P

T. Chou Ming
The leader of the tour. He’s the eldest guy, aged 27(max for the tour limit). He’s a tech-geek, he brought along his iBook G4, O2 pocket PC, SE cellphone… etc.
He’s a software programmer(according to the guidebook), and he works at home. He read blogs too, but more serious ones like Jeff Ooi. He say he has no time to blog, but he reads blog. A friendly person after all, but dunno why I felt distance between myself and him.

H. Erin
I knew this girl from my father’s friend. We had dinner together few times. I’m embarress I couldnt recognise her when we’re still in the hotel before departing to Taiwan, she was just sitting besides me and I need to think(guess) who she is.

K. Yi Jia
When I first saw her, I thought she’s same age as me, but the fact that she’s 3 years elder than me. Her appearence cheated many people! She’s a very, very friendly person. Indeed, she gets to know lots of friends from other groups too.
At the beginning of the tour, everyone seem to be care for her because she’d lost her camera and sick. But when everything become OK, we only understand deeper about her.
Whenever we go anywhere, she’s trying to be the spotlight for other’s attention. At first I’m OK with that, but things getting from bad to worse as our journey proceed.
I sometimes cant stand her method of judging or communicating with others, but still she’s a damn smart girl at her age…. One more word, I just hope that she know when is the right time to show off her intellegence….

L. Fei Ying
She is my father’s collegue. She’s our team leader. She looks a little old, but acts younger than her actual age.

L. Shea Wea
I cant imagine this girl is nearly in her mid-20’s. The way she acts and her appearence will tells you that she’s only 20 or so. She’s cheerful and playful, but because of certain sickness, she’s barely able to speak during the tour.

N. Ling Wee
One of the biggest upset in our group. She’s the 2nd eldest in our group, and suprisingly I thought she’s 20+. They say, my eyesight had problem. She’s a friendly girl, and she’s responsible for our costumes for our performance.

L. Ley Tian, T. Jor Yin, T. Hong Xin, C. Tau Chia
Girls in their 20s, they’re very friendly and cheerful. Dunno since when they start playing "family" in the group, always address the others as "mother, sisters". But anyway it’s kinda fun to see their game going on.

S. Jia Chyi,  L. Wen Xin, S. Yi Yun, Y. Xiang Yun, K. Siew Lee
Consider as low profile group of girls. This group is quite young, none of them reach 20 yet. They’re quiet, but that doesnt mean they’re useless. One of them is training as a teacher and she can sing very well too.

C. Chee Ling, T. Yee Eng, T. Siew Yee
The most "mysterious" girls in our group, they always move with 3 person together. They dont join our group that much. They’re actually quite friendly and they’re in universities right now.

C. Wan Hiang, C. Lip Fang.
WH was the "big sis" in our group. She’s a very active person that tries to bring up the group. She’s studying psychology, so sometimes she acts a little psycho is normal. :P
LF is a trainee teacher. She’s a red hot chili pepper, she doesnt acts like a teacher. She’s friendly and goes well with some lame jokes.

H. Wen Yow
My roomate for the trip. He’s half Malaysia-Taiwan. His chinese slang are like Taiwanese, but he cant write chinese. He’s same age with me, but acts like a primary school boy. Our group took him like a little boy. He’s very friendly and generous.

L. Chee Khoon

Also my roomate, this guy looks like a tough guy, but actually he’s very nice. He’s the "activator" of our group. He tries to bring up the atmosphere on the bus by telling some lame jokes, and he train us to sing for our performance. He said he’s abit crazy on this trip so everyone can enjoy the trip.

L. Suey Haur
One of the anti-social dude, also my roomate. He prefers walk with his own friend rather than following own team. He acts differently on the bus and in the room. He seldom talk on the bus, and then keep on bursting us with his stories in room. His quote is "sei po kai"(a cursing word in cantonese).

J. Min Kee, T. Mei Jye
These 2 girls are very friendly. MK is also the one tries to bring up the group on the bus. She’s a brave girl that does things in her way. MJ is a girl slightly older than me. She’s always with MK doing things together.

L. Phui Ling
My group leader. Suprisingly she’s just living not so far away from where I live. She’s a web programmer, a very useful person to help us make our website. She’s a responsible person and help us alot during the tour.

P. Pin Shang
Another team leader. He’s a guy that do things unefficiently. Perhaps he didnt experience such situation before, so he acts abit cocky at times. His talking slang is funny, and we like to copy how he talk for amusement. Anyhow, he’s a nice guy if you knew him better.

S. Kai Jie
A kid that’s elder than me by 1 year. He’s the handsome boy in our group. Because of this, he had rumours having relationship with others, and suspiciously being a gay! Anyway those are just jokes.

T. Jeng Hann, W. Shin Kah
These 2 boys are the clowns in our group. They look tough, but they’re the most playful of all group members. Although they came from different places, but they’re very close just like brothers. They’re also the latest to shows up during assemblies.

Blogging from Taiwan

Saturday, December 10th, 2005

Right now, I’m blogging from the Sony Centre in Taipei 101. Heheh, I wont miss a chance to use free net whenever I can!! :P I’ve met lots of friends here, and experience different cultural and lifstyle of ppl over here. Since this is a public computer, I’m limited with the usage of net over here. I cant run Web Messenger, too bad. :\ I kinda like this city, and I’ve spend 50% of my tour over here. Heh, kinda scare I spent too much over here. My financial source is limited, so gotta be really careful. Taipei has many common factors compare to KL. My first impression, is like KL in total chinese. Taiwanese are creative and innovative to make things more interesting and better, which makes me respect their spirit. TW is famous for it’s food, isnt it? I like their food too, but not too much. There’s a night market near the place I stay, a famous night market in Taipei features food, cloths, and entertainment. I dont really like that market, because it’s almost the samne. Food, arcade games, cloths…. etc. All the shops and stalls are repeatition. I’ll blog more about this later when I get back. They say, Taiwan got alot pretty girls, sorry to say but 90% of the girl I seen over here are faaaaaaaaaaar worse than girls in KL. Maybe I’m too use of seeing KL girls huh? But at least in my tour there’s lots of pretty SYTs. :D My team has the most girls in the team, about 2/3 girls in 32 person. I’ll stop my post here. Will be back next…. 2 weeks? See if I’m free, I’ll online at 27 night, mid-night I guess. Then, I shall continue my stories in Taiwan, as well as photos I’ve taken. ’til then, enjoy holiday my friend in Malaysia. B)

Primary School Friends

Saturday, December 3rd, 2005

Today I’m going to have the annual primary school gathering. This time, we’re planning a BBQ instead of going out together.
Last year’s gathering was failure, I dont think anyone enjoy much because we’re all seperated in the same building (Sg Wang), boys go with boys, while girls go with girls. The only time we’re together is when we’re moving to somewhere else and during the lunch time. Sigh… that’s not a good memory after all, as I left my friends earlier to settle down something.

I happend to bump into my friends in a MSN coversation. We’re happy able to chat with each others online, and we plan about the gathering for this year. We came up with the gathering at one of my friend’s house, which not so far away from my primary school. Everyone seems looking foward for the gathering, and we help ourselves by informing our friends about the gathering.

After some time didnt catch up with primary friends, I noticed many of them changed. Some become passive, and some had turned into the darkside. Well….. I understand at different environment will change a person’s personality after all, but I just dont like the attitude of some of them.

Actually I’m refering to a specific person, whom I dont wish to reveal his name to cover his identity, but I really pissed with the way he reacts.

As what I recall when we studies in the same class, he’s bossy-type, but he’s friendly. He mess with most of the boys, and are quite popular among girls if not mistaken. That time I’m not as aggresive as I’m right now, so I just make friends with him, and we’re quite close together.

Right now when I talk to him(MSN), he usually will taunting vulgars, which makes me felt uneasy. The way he ask something from me, is like I’m his servant or so, need to fullfill his demands… Arghh!!!
As friend, I reject him "nicely" and cooly, dont wanna hurt either of us, if not he might be attacking me sometime, somewhere.

I have the feeling that I might have dispute with him this time’s gathering. Maybe… he’ll blame me for not making the gathering good enough? Or complain the food sucks? Oh whatever it is, I just hope he wouldnt bother me so much.

But too bad, this time’s gathering wont be 100%, or 50%. We’ve contacted lots of friends, but many of them couldnt attend the gathering because they’re either travelling, or WORKING(especially girls). Oh well, next year we’re having SPM, and after that surely some of them will back to work…..

P/S 1: I’ve blogged last year’s gathering at my Blogger, if you’re interested, do check it out here.
